It is an exciting time to be a part of the Rugby Union community at the moment as there are some big changes being discussed.  There is a vision for Rugby Union on the Sunshine Coast to come under one entity and the wheels are in motion. 
The Sunshine Coast Rugby Union Body would have the opportunity to bring together all aspects of Rugby Union on the Sunshine Coast including:

• Sunshine Coast Stingrays Premier Rugby Union
• Sunshine Coast & Districts Rugby Union (Seniors)
• Sunshine Coast Junior Rugby Union
• Sunshine Coast Secondary Schools Rugby Union
• Sunshine Coast Primary Schools Rugby Union
• Sunshine Coast Referees Association

Rugby Union deserves a professional structure that focuses on the growth of the code through streamlining all of the administration, marketing, management and development functions.  By coordinating these functions the sport of Rugby Union has a stronger, combined front in which to progress its strategic direction.
The benefits to the rugby community are:

• Advancement of the sport
• Clearer representative pathways for players
• Improved development plans for players, referees and coaches
• A more influential body in which to access increased  funding
• Improved administration of the sport
• Better co-ordination for volunteers

The operation of rugby on the Sunshine Coast requires a lot of commitment and effort but also funding.  We are now asking you, our Rugby Community, for assistance through memberships, interest in Sponsorship or donations.
